One more definition - A naked pick is picking a card that doesn’t do anything for you yet. For the most part I am not going to get into too many relics in this discussion. Also, while I discuss strategies and archetypes, these are intended as a “Discussion” or suggestions, not as a crutch or exhaustive list. This covers the basic thoughts for each character, it is not intended to be “card by card complete” or cover all possibilities. I much prefer LB, but I like that both have their place. This article, yada yada yada. Demon Form is a good inevitability engine for a really defensive deck and can fit into pretty much anything that can handle its casting cost, while Limit Break requires a bit of support and a thin deck but can be really explosive. I like Limit Break and Demon Form as engines for a strength build, in that they lend themselves to different builds. I was hoping for a Whirlwind or Sword Boomerang or any other decent multi-hit, but I didn't get anything particularly useful for a Strength build until I ran across two Pummels in quick succession. The one problem was a certain stinginess with attacks. I then got a Limit Break, followed it up with an Inflame, Spot Weakness and Flex, and it was off to the races. That gave me the cushion I wanted to play very aggressively, and I was able to remove a whole bunch of Defends. My first shop (early - within three or four nodes of start) had a Feed on sale and I'd taken a gold reward from Neow, so I got that and started building max health. Just won with a fairly bog-standard strength build. This made that modifier slightly less cool.Īll good things must come to an end however I got carried away with exalting in Powers, and didn't have quite enough density on blocks to breeze through the second act as I had the first. Notable annoyance: When I would acquire an upgraded card (which I began holding out for after not too long), only one copy would be upgraded the additional ones would be baseline. For a few fights I got over 100 (!) strength, including one of the boss fights. I also picked up Find Weakness (+3 strength when someone is preparing to attack you) and Limit Break (double your strength). The stacking of Noxious Fumes was so appealing that I ended up reaching for several more powers: Fire-Breathing (1 damage to all enemies for each attack played that turn), Metallacize (+3 block at the end of each turn), and that one that gives you +2 Strength. I found I pretty much floated at max HP for the entire first act, and all of my Dashes got upgraded.
I was able to heavily stack Noxious Fumes, and Dash is actually really nice for its cost. This, notably, applied to the two I received from the earlier modifier. * Whenever you get a card, get three copies of it. * Lose 1 Max HP with each new room, but start each fight with plated armor 5. * Start with 2 cards from another class in my case, I got Noxious Fumes and Dash. The daily climb today was profoundly interesting to me:
